The main difference
DigiBoox is made for freelancers, with everything a freelancer needs in one plan, up to and including the income tax return. It costs €15 per month with annual billing, without limits. Moneybird started in 2008 as an invoicing package and has grown into a full accounting package for entrepreneurs, from freelancers to SMEs. The price depends on the number of bank transactions per month: from €3 for Compact to €41 for Compleet (prices October 2026).
Choose DigiBoox if
- you are a freelancer and also want to file your income tax return from your accounts;
- you want a fixed price, regardless of the number of transactions;
- you value personal help by phone.
Choose Moneybird if
- you invoice a lot, with recurring invoices and quotes that customers sign online;
- you want to work in the same package as your accountant: they get access in every plan;
- you have few bank transactions and want to match your plan to that.
