VM Backup from Hornetsecurity (Altaro) is backup software for virtual machines on Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware and Proxmox. You back up running VMs without stopping them, schedule them as often as every 5 minutes and restore a whole VM or individual files. An off-site copy can go to Microsoft Azure, Amazon S3, Wasabi or Backblaze B2, among others.
You choose between a monthly plan per VM (Unlimited Plus edition) and a perpetual licence per host in the Standard, Unlimited or Unlimited Plus editions. With that licence you need a maintenance contract for support and updates. Amounts are not shown on the site. The Free Edition is permanently free for 2 VMs per host. You try the full version free for 30 days.
