Portabase is software from Ovivio for childminder agencies and small childcare organisations (day nurseries and out-of-school care). As a childminder agency, you manage the matches between parents using a childminder and childminders, childminder contracts, time records and payments, with an alert before qualifications expire and the statutory submissions in one click. Day nursery and out-of-school care organisations use it for registration, child scheduling, invoicing and parent communication. You manage invoices, payments and reminders in Portabase itself and import bank transactions, so a separate accounting package is not needed.
The price depends on the type of organisation and usage; you request a meeting for a quote. According to Ovivio, Portabase is set up within a few days, and it suits one-person businesses as well as larger agencies. You can extend it with the Konnect app, DoenKids or your own website. A calculator that lets parents work out their net costs after childcare benefit on your website costs € 9.95 per month and can be cancelled monthly.
